Becoming a part of the prestigious Armed Forces can be
possible only bypassing the NDA or the National Defence Academy examinations.
These exams are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice
every year. Aspiring candidates need to pass the National Defence Academy
or the Service Selection Board examinations to join the Armed forces. Today

Eligibility:
When talking about the eligibility to join the Defence
Academy, the age of the candidates should be between 16 and 19 years.
Generally, the age requirement is notified by the UPSC at the time of issuing
a notification. When it comes to Merchant Navy eligibility, the educational
qualification is higher secondary or equivalent with physics and mathematics.
This is applicable to Air Force as well, while for Army, physics and
mathematics is not compulsory.

Scheme of
Examination:
Generally, the NDA examination is conducted for 900
marks. There will be 300 marks for mathematics paper and 600 marks for general
ability paper. Both will be objective type format. On successful completion of
these two papers, an interview will be conducted for 900 marks. When the best NDA coaching is
obtained, it will be easier for aspiring candidates to manage these papers and
they will be provided training for the interview as well.
